Review: Easy Peasies AIO

Description: The Easy Peasies OS AIO consists of a waterproof PUL outer, microfleece interior  and a hidden sewn-in microfibre soaker. It features interior double gussets and comes with a extra lay-in microfibre soaker topped with orange microfleece for stay-dry effect. The diaper has four rows of rise snaps on the front to adjust the sizing and two rows of waist/hip snaps to adjust the fit around baby's waist and hips. It also has cross-over snaps on the tabs which allows you to make the waist even smaller. The edges are overlocked which gives it a ruffled look around the elasticated edges at the back waist and around the legs.

First impressions: This diaper seems quite trim and stretchy and it looks like it can size down quite small. It is a available in a range of solid colours. The diaper seems well-made with neat stitching.  [Rating: 3.5/5]

Ease of use: Being an AIO, this diaper is pretty straight forward to use. Depending on how heavy a wetter your baby is, you can either leave out the additional insert, or lay it in your diaper before putting it on baby, no further prepping required. Granted you do have to fasten two snaps on each tab, so that's a total of four snaps each time you put this diaper on, which adds a few seconds to the time taken to put this diaper on. When taking the diaper off, simply put it in your pail, nothing to unstuff or unsnap. This diaper dries pretty fast, even when line dried, which is unusual for an AIO. [Rating: 5/5]

Fit: The fit of this diaper is okay on J. Without the extra insert it is nice and trim, with the extra insert in, it is a bit on the fluffier side, especially compared to other AIOs - the diaper is pictured here with the extra insert. I found the extra insert to be quite long which means you need to fold it over when on the smaller settings in order to not stick out in front or back. The serged edges gives added stretch to this diaper and with the four rows of rise snaps I think it would fit a wide range of babies. At 22 months old and 11.5kg, J is on the second biggest row of rise snaps and with two sets of snaps exposed on the waist. There is still quite a bit of room for growth in this diaper, especially in the waist. [Rating: 3/5]

Value for money: Price-wise, these AIOs are quite affordable and on the low-medium end of the scale compared to other AIOs available locally. In terms of what you get, I would say value is quite decent, however I do think you will need to add extra inserts if your baby is more than a light wetter, which is something to bear in mind. [Rating: 3.5/5]

Performance: J is a light wetter for the most part (though every now and again he surprises me with a toddler flood) and we get about two hours out of this diaper with the extra insert. If you have more than a light wetter I would recommend adding a natural fibre booster to improve the absorbency though. As the absorbency relies solely on microfibre, it will be prone to compression leaks. The interior double gussets did a good job at containing runny poop, so no complaints in that department. [Rating: 3/5]

Overall impression: While this diaper is not very absorbent, even with the added insert, I do like the easy fit and quick drying time.  Without the additional insert it is quite trim, though I personally feel the added insert adds extra bulk without much in the way of absorbency. I would've preferred a natural fibre insert which would've been both trimmer and more absorbent. On their website I see they do have a hemp option now, which I think would be great, but imagine it would also come at a higher price. If you are looking for an affordable, quick-drying AIO with stay-dry interior (not easy to find in an AIO), Easy Peasies are a good option to try.
